Available fixatives

Total-Fix (Recommended)	SAF	ECOSAF	Empty
Safe and efficient fixative. Formaldehyde, mercury and PVA free. Same preservation activity as Formalin-based fixatives. Compatible with molecular techniques.	Traditional formalin-based fixative, high efficiency for direct microscopic techniques.	Modified and safer version of the traditional formalin-based fixative, high efficiency for direct microscopic techniques.	Some specific diagnostic techniques require fresh samples. The tube can be filled with different buffers of your choice.

Why I think you should be interested in these kits

Unlike the FCP/ OCP kits you currently use, these kits are recommended by REAL to be supplied with Total-fix fixative in them. This Total-Fix does NOT use formalin, but retains the fixative effectiveness as if it was formalin. Total-fix is formaldehyde, mercury and PVA free. This also means that it is compatible with molecular techniques.

The REAL Mini System

REAL Mini-System is a patented device for stool sample conservation and concentration. The best solution for your laboratory to manage faecal samples, cleaner, smaller, more effective and ecological.

The Mini-System special design simplifies the sample processing, as no additional consumable is required. The procedure is fast, safe and clean, the technician is not in touch with the sample at anytime. The long spoon protects the user from touching the faeces and at the same time the fixative turns the sample non-infestive.

The tubes include glass beads in order to help homogenize the sample. 

The REAL Midi System 

REAL Midi System is also a patented device for stool sample conservation and concentration. For all intents and purposes, it is the same as the Mini system but larger, a similar size to that of which you probably are using now in the lab for ova, cysts and parasites.
