Ps. aeruginosa or pseudomonas species?
C-390 diagnostic disc
The antimicrobial agent C-390, 9-chloro-9-(4-diethylaminophenyl)-10-phenylacridan, has demonstrated exceptional selective properties for Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It's usefulness is well documented
Many UK hospital laboratories already use this product as a simple and economic method of differentiating P. aeruginosa from other pseudomonads and non-fermenters.
C-390 discs are placed on agar plates inoculated with test organism in a simple disc diffusion method. P. aeruginosa will show no inhibition zone with a confluent inoculum or a zone <12 mm with a semi confluent inoculum, after overnight incubation. Product page
