REF C-1093 GIARDIA CONTROL TEST Form :Liquid form. Principle of the test : The purpose of the Control Test is to ascertain the presence – not the specificity - of the Giardia antibodies on the strip. When the strip is dipped in the Control Test diluted with the giardia buffer, the solution migrates by passive diffusion and the Control Test reagent binds first to a conjugated antibody then to the antibody coated on the test line, thereby causing a coloured line to appear on the specific Giardia test line. Protocol for use: Should be used diluted 1/1 (v/v) with the sample Giardia buffer to obtain a positive reaction. Storage: Several months at 4°C (See expiry date on the label). Can be aliquoted and frozen at -20°C for several months. Can be thawed only once. Precaution: The reagent is non-infectious but sodium azide is used as preservative (<0.1%). Handle with care.
